On the other hand, there is a method of sorts. This means that if and whenever you hook your iphone to itunes it will think its an ipad. Also, should it happen to work, you might loose several functions, including the GPS maps app , or you might not, just like you might. Personally I have not used this method, I have no intention nor desire to try it and I advice against it, just how I was advised against it myself.

I was able to jailbreak sucessfully and then followed the instructions given here to unlock using ultrasn0w that is download the ultrasn0w 1. The article says once the ultrasn0w installation is complete, iPhone will be automatically unlocked.

Thanks alot.. Click Expert mode 1d. Click General and hit the arrow 1e. Check all the options and leave the root partition size as it is and hit the arrow 1f. Check install iPad baseband and hit the arrow 1g.

Custom boot logo as you wish , hit the arrow 1h. Skip the custom apps, hit the arrow 1i. The waiting game stick with the spinner or play PacMan 1k. After it's done it will guide you to put your phone in DFU mode. It should start restoring your phone. Connect your iPhone to the computer. Hold the lock button and swipe to shut down the phone.

Open redsn0w 0. Click Browse and select the official 4. Wait and click Next 2d. From the list deselect everything and select only Install iPad baseband and click Next 2e.
